Editor's Note: New Zealand, which serves as the depositary of the TPP agreement, released the final legal text of the deal on Jan. 25. This replaces the preliminary text released on Nov. 5, which subsequently underwent legal scrubbing.

USTR Releases Advisory Committee Reports On TPP; Brand-Name Drug Companies, Unions Criticize Deal

Editor's Note: The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative on Friday (Dec. 4) released reports on the Trans-Pacific Partnership submitted by 27 U.S. trade advisory committees, as required under the fast-track law. Although USTR is touting the reports as generally supportive of the TPP deal, they also include statements critical of the agreement from certain stakeholders such as the brand-name pharmaceutical industry, financial services companies, labor unions, and state and local officials.
