U.S., Japan commit to implement, expand APEC data flow, privacy rules

The U.S and Japan have refreshed their commitment to implement and expand Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum rules on data protection and privacy to enhance cross-border data flows and boost trade and commerce, according to an Oct. 19 Commerce Department press release.
