Senate Finance panel to hold hearing on trade preference programs
The Senate Finance Committee next week will hold a hearing on “revitalizing and renewing” trade-preference programs including the African Growth and Opportunity Act and the lapsed Generalized System of Preferences. The hearing, titled “Revitalizing and Renewing GSP, AGOA and Other Trade Preference Programs,” will be held on June 5, according to an announcement by Finance Chair Ron Wyden (D-OR).
