House bill would allow agencies to sidestep BIS to propose Entity List changes
A new House bill would allow other agencies to bypass the Bureau of Industry and Security to propose -- and potentially enact -- changes to the agency’s Entity List, addressing a longstanding concern held by some House Republicans that BIS is too lenient in its application of export controls.
