Companion to Corker bill introduced in House; Ways & Means trade panel sets hearing on tariffs

A bipartisan group of House members on Wednesday introduced a companion to a Senate bill that would compel the president to submit Section 232 tariffs for congressional approval. Also on Wednesday, the House Ways & Means trade subcommittee announced that the Trump administration's Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum, as well as proposed Section 301 duties on Chinese goods, will be the subject of a hearing next week.
