Commerce issues preliminary AD ruling in foil case

The Commerce Department on Oct. 27 issued an affirmative preliminary antidumping duty ruling on Chinese aluminum foil imports after the decision, and a review relating to China’s non-market economy status, were deferred earlier this month. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross announced that Chinese exporters of aluminum foil sold products at prices resulting in dumping margins of 96.81 percent to 162.24 percent based on evidence compiled using the department’s non-market economy methodology.
