USTR seeks comments on proposed port fee suspension

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has opened a 29-hour comment window to solicit feedback on its plan to suspend new port fees on Chinese ships following a recent deal struck by Washington and Beijing. USTR announced the comment period, which it said opened at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Nov. 6, in an emailed statement received by Inside U.S. Trade about half an hour after that time.
