Brazil’s Lula: Trump ‘guaranteed’ a trade agreement with the U.S.
President Trump has “guaranteed” the U.S. and Brazil eventually will ink a trade deal, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said on Monday following talks with U.S. officials. Trump and Lula met on Oct. 26 on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit in Malaysia to discuss 50 percent tariffs the U.S. levied on the country in August, among other issues.
