Mexico requests USMCA panel in auto rules-of-origin dispute

Mexico on Thursday requested a panel under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement to resolve a dispute over differing interpretations of the deal’s rules of origin for automotive vehicles. Mexico on Aug. 20 launched consultations about the disagreement with the U.S., and Canada joined as a third party later that month.
