U.S. solar companies request extension of Section 201 tariffs

Two U.S. solar panel manufacturers on Monday filed a petition with the U.S. International Trade Commission to extend Trump-era safeguard relief measures on solar products set to expire next year. In 2018 President Trump imposed a 30 percent tariff on imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and cells under Section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974.
