Mexican Supreme Court votes to allow U.S. potato market access
The Mexican Supreme Court has unanimously ruled in favor of allowing the government to lift U.S. potato import barriers after nearly 20 years of negotiations, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said on Wednesday. Vilsack earlier this month warned that if the Mexican Supreme Court did not allow U.S. potato growers market access, he would urge U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai to pursue enforcement action under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
