Commerce launches Section 232 probe into vanadium imports
The Commerce Department this week initiated an investigation into the national security implications of vanadium imports, which the agency says are key for a host of industrial sectors including defense, aerospace and energy. The investigation will be conducted under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.
