Cairns Group proposes WTO members halve domestic ag support by 2030

A group of major exporters of agricultural goods wants to cut allotments for domestic support of agriculture in half over the next 10 years, according to a World Trade Organization proposal published last week. The “Cairns Group” represents 19 agricultural exporters keen to secure a deal on agriculture at the WTO’s next ministerial in June.
