Business, tech groups raise EU digital taxation, regulatory issues with USTR
Business and technology groups want the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to address problematic digital services tax proposals recently pitched by the European Union, as well as longstanding regulatory cooperation issues with the bloc. The Trade Policy Staff Committee, an interagency advisory group chaired by USTR, on Friday heard from nearly 40 witnesses about negotiating objectives for a potential U.S.-EU trade deal.
