Commerce to review China’s non-market economy status, but no change expected

While the Commerce Department has initiated a review of China’s status as a non-market economy as part of the department’s antidumping and countervailing duty investigations into aluminum foil from China, analysts predict the Trump administration ultimately will not determine that China qualifies as a market economy for the purposes of trade remedy proceedings.
