BUSH GETS INVOLVED IN FIGHT FOR CAFTA WITH HOUSE, SENATE MEETINGS

President Bush this week got directly involved in lobbying for congressional votes to pass the free trade agreement the United States has negotiated with five Central American countries and the Dominican Republic, according to informed sources. Bush was scheduled to hold a meeting with Democratic and Republican senators yesterday (May 26) to discuss DR-CAFTA.
