WTO members extend e-commerce moratorium to MC12

GENEVA -- World Trade Organization members have agreed to extend a moratorium on electronic transmission duties until the next ministerial conference in June 2020. The decision adopted by the General Council on Tuesday stipulates that members “agree to maintain the current practice of not imposing customs duties on electronic transmissions until the 12th Ministerial Conference."
