USTR sticks to USMCA auto rules interpretation despite panel verdict
The U.S. on Monday made clear it does not intend to comply with a U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement dispute settlement panel ruling that faulted its application of the deal’s automotive rules of origin, warning that doing so would increase non-North American content in vehicles by up to 20 percent.
