U.S. praises ‘trust’ built in WTO environmental talks as group looks to future actions
A broad plurilateral environmental initiative at the World Trade Organization has succeeded in laying a foundation of “trust” in grappling with how trade policy should interact with environmental issues, particularly climate change, the U.S. said on Friday as WTO leaders pushed members of the initiative to move toward “concrete” actions in 2023.
