U.S. challenges India’s retaliatory tariffs in new WTO case

The United States is claiming that tariffs India imposed on U.S. goods to retaliate against Trump administration actions violate World Trade Organization rules. The U.S. recently rescinded India’s benefits under the Generalized System of Preferences, after which India raised tariffs on certain U.S. products.
