Trump taps special adviser Michael Nemelka to be deputy USTR

President Trump on Friday announced his intent to nominate Michael Nemelka, a special adviser to U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, to serve as deputy USTR. Nemelka, a Washington, DC-based attorney who hails from Utah , will if confirmed by the Senate succeed C.J. Mahoney, the deputy USTR for investment, services, labor, environment, Africa, China and the Western Hemisphere. The position carries the rank of ambassador.
