Tough times for China’s economy limit its options to respond to U.S. actions
China’s bleak economic outlook for early 2023 has government policymakers signaling their intent to open the country’s markets to more foreign investment and make needed economic reforms -- but handicapping Beijing’s ability to commercially retaliate against U.S. restrictions, more of which are expected next year, according to a bevy of China analysts.
