SIA’s Neuffer wants a speedy second ITA expansion, not another long wait
A group of World Trade Organization members concluded the Information Technology Agreement, a deal to eliminate tariffs on a range of technology products that included computers, fax machines, pagers and semiconductors, in 1996 -- the same year Texas Instruments released the TI-83 graphing calculator, Microsoft introduced the wheel mouse, and the first commercial USB cable and port were issued.
