Senate votes to end Trump’s tariffs on goods from Brazil
The Senate on Tuesday voted 52-48 to end President Trump’s steep tariffs on goods from Brazil. The resolution – enabled under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which Trump used to impose 50 percent tariffs on Brazil – was backed by several Republicans, including former Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
