Ross: Steel, aluminum actions following Section 232 probes ‘probably’ will spark WTO challenges
Should the Section 232 investigations into the national security implications of steel and aluminum imports lead to presidential actions against foreign producers, the U.S. will “probably” face legal challenges domestically as well as at the World Trade Organization, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Monday. “In terms of the legal pitfalls, we assume that if there’s any affirmative action that comes out, there probably will be either a domestic legal challenge and/or a WTO challenge,” Ross told reporters on the sidelines...
