No WTO fisheries deal soon as chair withdraws General Council proposal

The World Trade Organization will not close out the year with a deal capping the second phase of the fisheries subsidies negotiations after the chair of the talks on Friday withdrew a proposed decision to approve the text from the agenda of next week’s General Council meeting.
