Lawmakers: CHIPS Act funding needs ‘guardrails’
Funding for the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors in America Act should be accompanied by “strong guardrails” before being enacted, two House lawmakers said on Tuesday, with one suggesting export restrictions or even an outbound investment review mechanism.
