ITC: USMCA auto rules impacted auto industry, not broader economy

The economic effects of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement’s rules of origin for automotive vehicles have been limited to the auto sector, the U.S. International Trade Commission says in a new report, finding that they benefitted auto parts makers while causing light vehicle producers to fare slightly worse.
