ITC rules Chinese aluminum sheet imports are injuring the U.S. industry

The U.S. International Trade Commission today ruled affirmatively and unanimously that imports of common alloy aluminum sheet from China are injuring the U.S. industry, continuing antidumping and countervailing duty probes that were self-initiated by the Commerce Department in November. The ITC's Jan. 12 vote propels the case forward, with the Commerce Department slated to release its preliminary CVD rates by Feb. 1 and an AD decision set for April 17.
