House GOP proposal would cut funding for USTR, other trade agencies

House Republican appropriators on Tuesday proposed across-the-board cuts to key trade agencies, including the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Commerce Department. The “ Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies Appropriations Act ” was published by House Appropriations Committee Republicans and is set for a subcommittee markup on Wednesday.
