Despite ministerial talks, little progress reported on IP waiver
The trade ministers of the U.S., the European Union, India and South Africa recently met virtually at the behest of World Trade Organization Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala in an attempt the break a deadlock on a proposed waiver of some WTO intellectual property obligations, but the high-level talks so far have not been enough to move the negotiations out of stalemate.
