Commerce sets preliminary countervailing duty rates on solar imports
The Commerce Department on Tuesday announced it was setting preliminary countervailing duty rates on certain solar products from four Southeast Asian countries, with duty levels nearing 300 percent for some companies in Vietnam. The department made affirmative preliminary determinations and set duty rates for certain imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells from Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand, in addition to Vietnam, according to a fact sheet issued by the International Trade Administration.
