China: Mexico giving in to U.S. economic coercion by raising tariffs

China’s Ministry of Commerce on Thursday blamed the United States for Mexico’s decision to raise tariffs on Chinese goods, saying the country was giving in to economic coercion by its northern neighbor. The Mexican government on Wednesday proposed increasing tariffs on a range of products from countries with which Mexico does not have free trade agreements.
