USDA announces final ‘Product of USA’ rule

The Agriculture Department this week announced a final rule for its voluntary “Product of USA” and “Made in the USA” labeling programs, saying they will cover only products from animals that were born, raised, slaughtered and processed in the U.S. -- and rejecting concerns that rule might clash with U.S. trade commitments.
