Russia Formally Submits Intent To Join GPA At Four-Year Deadline

Russia has formally notified other members of the World Trade Organization that it intends to launch negotiations to join the Government Procurement Agreement and will submit a proposed coverage schedule in the coming months. The terms of Russia's WTO accession protocol dictate that it begin negotiations to join the GPA within four years of its accession.
