Taiwan, Thailand Formally Join ITA Deal; Now Covers All Major Producers

Taiwan and Thailand this week formally notified the World Trade Organization's General Council of their acceptance of the expanded product scope in the Information Technology Agreement (ITA), thereby ensuring that all major IT producers will be covered under the expanded agreement. This means there is no more substantive opposition to the 201 products that the United States, European Union, China and other ITA expansion participants agreed to last week.
