U.S., EU Team Up Against China's Export Duties, Quotas For Raw Materials

The United States and European Union filed a joint World Trade Organization challenge against China on July 19 over its continued use of duties and quotas to control the exports of certain raw materials used in manufacturing. The joint effort broadens the U.S. government's original request for consultations filed on July 13, which only covered export duties imposed on raw materials, and comes after the European Union failed to resolve the use of duties and export quotas during bilateral meetings...
