WTO: Countries favor trade-facilitating measures amid ‘protectionist pressures’

Governments continue to turn more to trade-facilitating measures than to trade-restrictive moves despite an environment of “protectionist pressures,” the World Trade Organization said on Monday, while pointing to a rise of industrial policy initiatives, particularly related to climate change.
