USTR announces GSP review hearing for nine countries
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in January will hold a hearing to review several countries' status under the Generalized System of Preferences, the agency announced on Monday. Developing countries eligible for GSP benefits receive duty-free treatment for certain products. The hearing, scheduled for Jan. 30, will cover Azerbaijan, Ecuador, Georgia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, South Africa, Uzbekistan and Laos.
