U.S., Norway urge steps to counter China’s dominance on critical minerals
“Market-oriented countries” should take steps to bolster their critical mineral industries and counter production concentration in China by emphasizing transparency, quality and environmental standards, the U.S. and Norway say in a new report, an early public step under the two governments’ 2024 memorandum of cooperation on the sector.
