U.S., EU hold first joint committee meeting under insurance agreement

The United States and European Union held the first joint committee meeting under the auspices of the covered agreement on insurance and reinsurance measures earlier this month, the Treasury Department announced on Tuesday. The U.S. and EU signed the covered agreement in last September and it went into provisional effect in Nov. 2017. The agreement covers reinsurance, group supervision, and the exchange of information between U.S. and EU supervisors.
