U.S. blocks India’s request for WTO compliance panel in solar dispute

The United States on Friday blocked India’s first request for a World Trade Organization panel to review its compliance in a dispute over its national solar program. The program has been found to be discriminatory against foreign manufacturers; the U.S. is seeking retaliation. A second request for a compliance panel cannot be blocked.
