Trump picks former U.S. attorney for Labor secretary
President Trump today announced the nomination of Alexander Acosta, a law school president and former member of the National Labor Relations Board, for Labor secretary. Acosta, the dean of the Florida International University College of Law, has also served as U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida and assistant attorney general for the Justice Department's civil rights division. He is Trump's second nominee for Labor secretary; restaurant executive Andy Puzder withdrew this week following fierce Democratic opposition.
