Supreme Court declines to hear another Section 232 challenge

The Supreme Court has declined to hear a challenge to a lower court ruling that upheld presidential authority to impose national security tariffs on steel products. In 2018, then-President Trump imposed a 25 percent tariff on steel imports from all countries other than Canada and Mexico under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.
