Study: Tariffs spurred drop in tech imports from China

The Trump administration’s 25 percent tariffs on Chinese technology products led to a drop in U.S. imports of roughly 20 percent in 2019, while U.S. exports of tech products saw a 5 percent uptick over their 2018 totals, according to a study released by CompTIA, an information technology trade association.
