South Korean trade minister: ‘Smooth’ start to tariff talks with Greer

South Korea’s trade minister, Cheong In-kyo, told local media Friday that a two-day trip to Washington, D.C., had produced a “smooth” start to negotiations with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and said he sees a path in those talks to lowering the Trump administration’s 25 percent “reciprocal” tariff on his country.
