Senate group offers bill to prioritize telecom security in U.S. trade policy
Lawmakers including senior Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and John Thune (R-SD) on Wednesday introduced a bill that would make communications infrastructure security a top priority in U.S. trade negotiations, which they called key to ensuring the secure rollout of global 5G networks and countering the deployment of untrustworthy Chinese technology by U.S. allies.
