Senate Finance trade panel plans hearing on trade enforcement at U.S. ports

The Senate Finance trade subcommittee next week will hold a hearing on a range of issues at U.S. ports, including trade enforcement and facilitation. The May 21 hearing title is “ Examining U.S. Trade Enforcement and Entry of Merchandise .” Witnesses have not yet been announced. “This hearing will provide lawmakers with information on how Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and longshoremen examine goods that enter through U.S. ports, including how technology is used to screen and process these goods,”...
