Report: Foreign companies more 'exposed' to 301 tariffs than Chinese businesses
The U.S. list of proposed Section 301 tariffs likely would hurt non-Chinese companies operating in Beijing more than domestic ones, according a new study from The Conference Board. “Non-Chinese companies make up 43% of China's exports,” the report states. “So, while the U.S. and China have struck a temporary truce, the fate of a pretty overlooked group remains far from certain: foreign companies that export from China.” The Conference Board is a New York-based research association.
