Rep. Yoho says proposed foreign aid cuts would 'hinder' trade

Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) said last week that the Trump administration should reconsider some of its proposed cuts to foreign aid programs and related initiatives because they could harm U.S. trade relations. At a hearing of the House Appropriations State, foreign operations and related programs subcommittee on Thursday, at which members of Congress were the only witnesses, Yoho said “investment in foreign aid, when it's targeted and managed correctly, can yield great returns and can help increase trade...” Yoho noted...
